The Juvenile Court is a division of the Superior Court. Juvenile Delinquency and Juvenile Dependency cases are heard by the Juvenile Court. Juvenile Court records are confidential and access to those records is limited in accordance with the law, including Welfare and Institutions Code Section 827.
Welfare and Institutions Code Section 781 permits persons who acquired records as juveniles to petition the juvenile court to have those records sealed. Information and documents needed to initiate the record sealing process are available through the Sonoma County Juvenile Probation Department at (707) 565-6229.

The cases heard in the Juvenile Delinquency Court involve youth who have committed law violations.

Calendars: Calendars are heard by the Juvenile Court Judge Monday through Friday, beginning at 8:30 AM. Clear Warrant matters are heard Monday through Friday at 8:30 AM.
To Clear a Warrant: To clear a warrant, you must come to the Juvenile Court Monday through Friday by 8:30 AM. Check in at the reception desk by 8:30 AM. Your case will be heard by the judge the same morning.

The Juvenile Dependency Court handles cases in which allegations of abuse or neglect have been made. The child’s safety and protection may require intervention through the Juvenile Court. Dependency matters are strictly confidential. Court hearings are closed except to the parties involved in the proceedings.

Calendars: Dependency calendars are heard by the Commissioner assigned to the Juvenile Division each Thursday at 9:00 AM Courtroom 5, and at other times so designated.
